SWsoft Developer Network is a one-stop portal for developers who want to integrate their software with SWsoft products as well as all those who want to customize and extend SWsoft products. The main purpose of SWDN is to provide a single point of access for all information, documentation and tools available for SWsoft products. With SWDN, we hope to build a strong developer community around SWsoft products and platform technologies, such as Open Fusion.

SWDN has several sections

Library

Library contains all product documentation targeted at developers – programmer’s guides and API references. The documents are available for online reading and for downloading (PDF and/or zipped HTML). Documentation shipped with the product may not contain the latest updates made after the release, but Library always has the latest versions of all documents. So, if you need the most up-to-date information, Library is the place to find it.

Software Downloads

Software Downloads has all SWsoft products that can be used for development purposes and special Developer Licenses for them. The licenses provide full functionality, but typically have resource restrictions. They are also time-limited, and updated on a regular basis.

Also, Software Downloads has SDK packages – packaged sets of documentation and tools available for SWsoft products.

Announcements

All significant events at the SWDN web site, such as a publication of a new document or the update of development licenses, are published at the SWDN front page in the form of an announcement. To make it easy for SWDN subscribers to receive the announcements, we also made them available via SWDN RSS feed.

Community

The main goal of SWDN is to build a community. To facilitate communication between members of SWsoft developer community, SWDN hosts Developer Forums and mailing lists. At the moment, the following public mailing lists are available:

• of-announce@lists.swsoft.com – general mailing list for Open Fusion-related announcements,
• apppack@lists.swsoft.com – dedicated mailing list, AppPack discussions.
